A true Resource Management game

I want to bring to your attention that this game is NOT a click-fest type of game. If you try to collect every resource that drops, you will fail. You cannot preplan actions and preclick resources to be picked up when a worker is available, you have to have one available. You cannot undo your actions. There is no timer for the buildings to know when the next resource is ready, you have to get a feeling for it. You just need to study the level BEFORE you start, find out what the "choke points" are, what resources you will need and when and then execute the plan. Then you will be a "great leader" and win the three stars. By the way of example, in the beginning you usually need wood to build your buildings, but later you don't need any wood. Don't bother gather it! It is a waste of time. Sometimes you have collected so much food that it is enough to build the rest of the wall, don't bother to send your worker to collect more food. I am half way through the game and got 3 stars on each level easily with plenty of time to spare despite the pesky dragons and that I am not that fast in clicking them away. I thought that the above could be of help in understanding and enjoying the game.

Along the lines of My kingdome for the princess, etc.

Fun game. The player must build the wall of china overcoming a number of obstacles along the way. The main charachter in the story, Kong, has taken on the challenge to the build the wall in order to win the hand of the princess in marriage. The graphics are good. The storyline is fun and the play action is good. The play gets progressively more difficult as you play the game. Unfortunately, I did not see where there are different levels of play (easy, regular and hard). The play is timed so stratedy is important. I like the game.

ARRRGH! Onery Dragons!

Challenging puzzles with increasing levels of difficulty, where you must gather energy and supplies, overcome obstacles and compete with dragons (!) while building the Great Wall of China. About the time you determine a plan of action, dragons swoop in and wreak havoc. Well developed story line and beautifully rendered graphics add to enjoyment. Looking forward to next game in the series ...at least, I hope it becomes a series. It's that much fun.

Better than I first thought! (Based off demo, 11 levels)

First, this is the only game (so far) that I finished the demo on the first sitting (and I'm going to buy the full version after this review). At first, the game is a bit slow, and its pretty much your basic TM game. You cannot queue up your actions (which actually did not bother me like some games do), and I think that can add to the challenge of this game. That being said, so far, the game is not too challenging, even without the ability to queue up. I did have to restart one level because I used all my steel before I reached the steel mine. There were a few times I came close to not getting 3 stars. I'm hoping the game gets a bit more challenging. The mini games are a nice change of pace, I'm hoping there are more with different game types. I love TM games, there are only a handful I do not care for. If you like/love TM games and aren't expecting something completely new and mind blowing, this game should be a part of your collection.

Excellent game !

It's really a very nice game?; 15-minute demo and conquered I buy it without any hesitation ! The graphics are beautiful, Asian music soft, pleasant and not embarrassing at all. Nice also 2 modes of games available : timed or relax. Of moreover, it is nice to take part in the construction of the Great Wall of China, it is not given to everyone !!! In conclusion a excellent time management game as I like, the same level as the series ??Royal Envoy?? and "Roads of Rome", to be classified in the forefront of this type of game!

Excellent Time Management Game

If you like "My Kingdom for the Princess" series and/or the "Royal Envoy" series, you will like this game. There is no untimed mode which may annoy some, but surely the aim of this game is in its genre "Time Managment" Some of the players who have made comments also complain of the fast clicking required in places, well I'm not exactly a spring chicken and I didn't have any problems with it. The graphics are good, the sound is good and the level of challenge is also good. For me, this is a great game, full of challenges and could certainly not be classed as boring.

I HIGHLY RECOMEND THIS GAME

THE GRAPHICS WERE GREAT, MUSIC NOT IRRITATING,GETS VERY CHALLEGING. THE WHOLE GAME IS VERY FUN.

I liked this game!

My review is based on the one-hour trial only. This game is in the style of MKFTP or RoR. You collect materials and send your workers to build The Great Wall of China. I liked it being set in a different age and location than most games. Something a little different added to this one is a dragon that you must fight periodically by furiously clicking on your bowman. There are mini-games, but I only got to the first one (a match game) before the trial ran out. Everything worked seamlessly, it's a good story, and it started to get challenging at about level 9. If you like these types of games, this one fills the bill. A good one to get, with Novemberfest still going on.

Very good game

This is a good game, similar in style to My Kingdom for the Princess, and yet different enough to make it interesting. You have to build the Great Wall of China, and other buildings along the way to help you do that. You have to gather resources so that you can build. The graphics are pleasant and colorful, the gameplay easy enough to learn. If you succeed, you may marry the princess. I enjoyed this so much that I bought it before finishing the trial. :)

Worth the money/credit!

I have a love/hate relationship with TM games. They frustrate me but I love playing them. This one does not disappoint. I hate it but love it! I don't have the sound on so I can't rate the sound but the graphics are very good. I never pay attention to the story line so I can't rate that either but it's typical to other TM games. The only thing that was different than most is the view of the game. It's pulled back futher than most but it's not annyoing. You can't click to have them start another task before they are finished with the first but it's no big deal. Overall I would recommend this game if your into time management. I just wish I could manage my time in real life as well as I seem to do with these types of games! Have fun!
