Fun Change of Pace

This very unusual game will completely fill the bill for those who have been waiting or looking for something in a much more light-hearted vein than has been seen lately. It's very cartoonish and almost looks like a kid's game, but don't be fooled----it has lots of challenges and is a great deal of fun. A princess in a fantasy kingdom has been turned into a man-eating monster, and you are called on to save the day. There are several worlds to explore with lots of objects to find and even more puzzles to solve. The graphics are a sort of 3D presentation with zooming and scrolling available to complement the eye-popping colors and visual clarity. And the game opens in a widescreen which makes it even better. There are 2 levels of difficulty, and hints are plentiful. In addition to the beauty of the game, there is an abundance of good humor to enjoy. Many would probably compare it to Tiny Bang, but I would put it in a class all by itself. It's different, it's fun and humorous, it's got good challenge, it's gorgeous to look at, and greatly entertaining to play. What more could you ask for? Innovation like this is always welcome by me, and I give this beauty my highest recommendation. You owe it to yourself to at least give it a try----great game.

Would make Sherlock & Watson ROFL

Based on the Demo, Elementary My Dear Majesty is just plain hilarious, with it's cartoonish graphics and abstract, comical, tongue-in-cheek humor. A well needed break from the doom and gloom games...the only negative is the tiny visuals and stilted game play (woah, woozy#, although there is a zoom-in feature, all the above negs makes the gameplay a tad awkward. Otherwise, it would definitely been all 5 out of 5 in all categories. This FUNNY game is in line with the quality, older adventure series #and that IS a positive!). Those of you who've played games of 'yore', know what I'm talking about... nothing can compare.... they were the BEST of the best and quality through and through, well thought out and very entertaining, despite premodern graphics capabilities. If you have never played those games, now is your chance to open your mind "out of the box' and get ready to laugh with the same quality and upgraded, 3d graphics! Elementary My Dear Majesty is so much fun; hilarious for both adults and families with a good sense of humor and desire for imaginative, totally fun gaming. Thumbs up.

The most fun ever

I had more fun with this game than any other HOG/Adventure game I have ever played I found myself fishing knights out of moats with a big magnet hitched to a crane, nudging an oak tree?s brain back into its trunk so it could remember the password, sawing off a part of a rainbow, rounding up monkeys with bananas, catapulting crates onto pirate ships, rounding up butterflies to trade to ninja?s for kidnapped brides, building a wife for a snowman, helping a polar bear look more scholarly, cross dressing aliens, helping Juanita, the ostrich turn into a dragon (so her dragon husband won?t divorce her) , by catapulting her into volcanic lake, etc, etc, etc It is a lighthearted joy. The 3D aspect may take some getting used to, but I you allow yourself 15 minutes or so at start of the game to fool around with the controls, you it will find it become very simple to navigate. I did have problems with the custom cursor, though, it seemed to get stuck in the ?tool? mode, and so I switched to system cursor and had no problems. With most in the genre being stuck in the horror melodrama themes, it was so great to find one game that was a lighthearted slapstick comedy. Please, if anyone knows of any other good adventure/HOG?s that are not horror based, please recommend them to me. It was just so wonderful spending the last 5 hours playing without being exposed to the worst evils imaginable. I normally do not write reviews (and as you can tell I am very bad at it) but I felt I had to reach out to others who are like myself love this genre of gamming, that there is at least one game that will not give you nightmares.

What a blast!

This game is SO much fun to play! No two boards are at all alike; there are many different goals, and things to do to achieve those goals. The characters will make you laugh out loud, and the things that they want you to do will have you shaking your head, and saying, "What??" As a rule, I do not purchase hidden object games, because once you've played it, you know where everything is. However, this one is so unique, that I surely will buy this one. Two thumbs up!

Funny, original take on the hidden object genre

This is a completely different take on the hidden object game genre. The locations aren't a series of 3D floating islands and in fact everything (including the objects) is rendered in 3D except for some of the puzzles. The game doesn't take itself seriously and is full of silly, whimsical humour as you travel to varied, exotic locations as you try to save the princess. Puzzles are of above average difficulty, but I didn't run into anything frustrating. You can rotate and zoom into each main location and you _have_ to rotate as some of the hidden objects can only be seen from certain angles. I liked the way this worked. :) I'd suggest that instead of using the zoom and arrow icons in the lower right, you use the mouse scroll wheel (if you have one) for zooming and hold down the right mouse button and move the mouse at the same time to rotate. It's much more convenient. The hidden objects are small, but I didn't have a problem finding them and rarely used any hints. While I generally like colourful games, this was perhaps a little _too_ colourful and made the game a little less attractive. Overall it was fun and refreshing to see something new in the genre, especially with such a light-hearted story!

This game is a hoot!

What a welcome change from the same old same old. These developers have definitely been thinking out of the box. Once I started playing, I couldn't stop. Has tons of replay value as well. Definitely one of my favorite games. The colors are vivid and the dialogue is funny. I would recommend this to anyone who is tired of the same old HOG.

FANTASTIC DIFFERENT GAME

This reminded me of The Tiny Bang Story which I absolutely loved. I enjoyed visiting different worlds and fulfilling fun tasks. I am so sick of hidden object games so congratulations to the makers of this game. More, more please!!!!

I love this game!

This game is awesome! I started it knowing I would have to quit soon for an appt and I could barely tear myself away! It is fun! A different kind of interactive! I even took the time to review which I never do! I love it!

This game is a hoot.

It is colorful, clever and creative. That would seem to indicate a grade of C but this is an A+ game. I had such high expectations that I expected to be disappointed but it is a winner with not a speck of gloom, doom or decaying buildings.

I love it !

I think this is a game for women ! I love it !
