An Entertaining Game!

This game is somewhat unusual, but that is what makes it so much fun! You have to interact with characters on the ship to complete tasks. Naturally, the ship is going to sink eventually--everyone knows that--but you get to choose an ending. This game is really lots of fun and it has humor! (A somewhat rare quality in most games.) I got stuck a few times (which is why I rate myself as an intermediate player instead of an expert--if the game is any good at all, I will get stuck somewhere) I don't mind getting stuck though because I can go online to the Big Fish Games Web site and find the walk-through. Almost all of their hidden object games have a walk-through with scene-by-scene help. I use them all the time.

AT LEAST THE CAD WILL BE GONE

SUMMARY: About 5 ? hours long. You?ve just married a condescending cad (think of what he?d be in a few years) who is way above your station in life. Others have told the details of the story, so won?t repeat. Just a few highlights: Instructions to puzzles are sometimes vague. Everything can be skipped. The monologue is quite nice, as are the voice overs. You can sometimes take charge of the direction of the conversations. Good cutscenes. Entertaining characters. You travel to most locations through the interactive map only. Average graphics. There are other Titanic games out there. I like this one because of the main character ? she?s practical, pleasant and smart.

Great Cut Scenes

I liked this game, but it does have some bad points. The main characters are you, your husband, your mother and a young boy. Obviously the Titanic sinks in the end, but you have things to do around the ship before that happens. There is an extraordinary amount of dialogue during the game; however, you can click through it. The HOS are excellent, they are well lit and the items are challenging to find. The mini games are acceptable, some are really easy. The interactive map is useful. The graphics are good and the cut scenes are excellent. The voice overs are acceptable. The music is annoying, but it can be muted. Towards the end, you have to decide whether to go with your mother or husband, which does make it a bit interesting. The downside to this game is there doesn't seem to be a storyline. You run around the ship doing things, but there doesn't seem to be much of a point. There are also times where you can't figure out what to do next. The walkthrough is really helpful. There are times when the game drags. There is a bonus section, not really a chapter, that provides some interesting information regarding things that went wrong. There is nothing new, but it is interesting. The ending of the game is not a mystery and the game does have some annoyances, but it is a nice change of pace from some of the darker/scarier games. If the annoyances don't bother you, I would recommend this game.

GREAT GAME WITH LOTS OF DIALOGUE

This game was different from the other games but I really enjoyed it. At first i did not know how to navigate the game but then I figured out that you have to use the map to move from scene to scene. Eventually the ship is going to sink but not for a while! The voice overs were good and graphics clear enough to not get eye strain. I left the music on because it was actually calming.

Hidden Mysteries

Excellent. Keeps mind sharp. Played til 3 A.M. Good game to increase memory.

INVENTORY ITEMS/TASKS

I have to say that I thought that some of the tasks (considering the circumstances, especially later during the game play) seemed ridiculous as well as the items collected but once said inventory items were used, it became apparent that the game developers know what they're doing. Oftimes, I would silently comment to myself as to the fact/idea that said combination of inventory items would indeed accomplish the same task in real life. There was alot of talking BUT if a gamer paid attention to the comments, it became obvious as to what you needed to do and where you needed to go. It also helped me (for 1 set of tasks) to remember what I'd already done which helped me to complete the rest of the tasks successfully to move on in the game. I found playing this game somewhat eerie as the sinking of the TItanic IS a real-life sad episode of history but well worth the time to play.

love any game about Titanic

This is a little more challenging then I like, but I love anything that has to do with Titanic! Wonderful graphics and music!

Not really authentic but great game

The date references-prety well spot on, the details of the sinking though a bit awry and lacking authenticity. the Captain's review at the end of the game-very factual and spot on. As a game-entertaining, interesting and exciting. We all know that the Titanic eventually sunk and there is no way you can change that, but the lead up to the eventual end was both challenging, dramatic and fun filled. Following the adventures and deeds of the main character, her mother and her husband, together with the young lad and members of the crew kept the interest primed.

The game sank somewhat before the ship?

If you must, buy this game to watch the animated cut scenes -- they are pretty good. There is voice over that is acceptable. There are H0G scenes, puzzles and inventory items to use where you are, or elsewhere. The artwork is ordinary. The game virtually plays itself, and where it doesn't you can just skip anything you don't want to do. You can even skip the H0G scenes and receive the inventory item you need. The story is a bit senseless given the ultimate ending, but there are actually two different solutions to the plot -- you get to play it twice. The second go round shouldn't take but a few minutes.

the wonders of the titanic

this game is a very interesting one I've played many of titanic games but i would say this is the best I've played so far.
