Insider Tales: Vanished in Rome

Hidden Object Puzzle game. Great potential. HO scenes slightly challenging - you've got to really scrutinise the scene - and great interactivity. There are puzzles inside the HO scenes. HO's are a mixture of find my list, shadow, put back into place, and find x amount of an item. The only disappointment is the length. A real let down. I didn't skip anything and I didn't use any hints yet by the time I finished the demo, I had completed 4 chapters which only left 1 chapter remaining. Devs, what were you thinking? Looking at the reviews, I would imagine that by skimping on game play, there's been a heck of a lot of revenue lost. A big shame. I'm going to recommend the game because it is a lot of fun, but only as a demo (and if you're fast enough, you'll complete the game in the demo).

Was Not Easy

I didn't think this was too hard or too easy but I don't see how a young child could do this. I was struggling. I didn't get very far playing only an hour. You want a challenge then here it is. I suppose everyone has their opinion but I found this not as easy as I thought. Try your luck and see what you think. I see it as a bit of a challenge.

Pretty good game

The character animation is a little distracting when they're talking, but not to worry! The puzzles and HOS's are pretty good, even challenging at times. A few puzzles are really simple and take just a minute or two. I liked the scenes very much, although some of them were terribly cluttered. I have to say that I enjoyed this game, and have played it a few times.

Hmm.. it was ok...

I like Insider Tales: Casanova so I bought this one.. however this is a step backward, there are lots and lots of HOG scenes and it's getting repetitive that it's boring. Some of the items have same name but the game only recognize one so it's misleading sometimes. The background music reminds me of Agatha Christie games, which I like. The game, to my surprise is a bit long, but maybe because I have difficulty finding an item. If you are new to HOG games, you might like this one.

Hard to tell

Slow, jerky cursor with no option to revert to the system default. This is one of my pet peeves and find most annoying. I'm surprised that I managed to get through the first 5 minutes of the demo.
