Don't waste your money

What I liked: The western cowboy theme What I disliked: everything else. These game creators definitely need to get an American to edit their narration. It's so abysmal that it actually ruins the game. For example: "During my stay in Venice I got from Luca great souvenir - he knew that I love such things. Handy made, beautifully ornamented puzzle with his dedication immediately became one of my the most valuable treasures." Direct quote. Yes, it said "my the". The language issue shows up in the hidden object searches as well. The descriptions often aren't quite the object. For instance, "candlestick" is actually a candelabra. A "prong" was a pair of tongs. A "clothes peg" was a clothespin. As far as the game itself, it's just boring. The HOS's are repetitive and the puzzles in between are dull and stale. But I guess if you want an authentic "1800's Russian comes to the Wild West" experience, this might be the game for you. Maybe I'm spoiled. Madame Fate and the earlier Mystery Case Files games are so far above this one that it's actually surprising that Big Fish carries it. I'm sorry I wasted my money.

My kind of game!

This is exactly the kind of hidden object game I usually look for! It's straightforward - just hidden picture scenes with a few other relatively easy (story-related) puzzles thrown in. The graphics are beautiful, there's a simple storyline, and the background music and/or noises are appropriate. There is no time limit or other nerve-wracking issues. You can even pretty much get as many hints as you need if you get stuck. I look to these games for pure relaxation. Frankly, I get annoyed by the games that have a complicated storyline, or which make you go to room A, then room C, then back to Room A again, then to Room B, etc.to open this door or that door, to put a key in a lock, then put the key back into the other room - aarrgghhh! Not for me! Likewise, I don't much care for the games with graphics designed to give me nightmares. So, there we are. Beautiful, great, fun screens with lots of visual variety, a straightforward storyline, relaxed play, just fun and no stress. Thank you, Big Fish Games for this one!

Straight Hidden Object but did not appeal to me

The intro to the game was lovely, really nice set of old pictures & a beautiful voiceover; unfortunately the game itself did not live up to it. There is no voiceover once you get into the game & you can click through the subtitled dialogue. The music was pretty awful & the background noises were odd; the crowd talk was definitely not American. The graphics were crisp & clear but the scenes were photo real which is something I have never liked & will always make me negative about a game. Some of the hidden objects were just too small but luckily the hint recharges in a very quick 15 to 20 seconds. However the hint button sparkles like mad in the top right hand corner of the screen & the bag next to it keeps jiggling; this is very off-putting in the corner of your eye. I did not play long enough to check out any mini games as the overall look simply did not appeal to me, however if you like a straight H0G you might enjoy this
