My parents, oh around four years ago, came out for a Christmas visit. The weather outside was frightful, but playing computer games inside was delightful, and I introduced them to one of my favorites, MCF: Madame Fate. Fast forward to 2011: I think by now they have bought and played at least twice as many BFG games as I have. So, if you want to get someone hooked on fun, fascinating, and brain-twisting games this holiday season, just log them onto Madam Fate. What do you mean you have not purchased it yet? There are three aspects of Madame Fate that are wonderfully unique. First, the puzzles -- so unlike the typical mini-games in most HOAs. Second, the -- oops! is it a spoiler? the little surprise that greets you if you click on some things that seem a little queer on various screens -- I shan't say more about that. Third, the speed rounds where you find, say, 30 fishhooks. Super fun! Add to that the typically awesome graphics that these MCF games are lovingly styled with, as well as the wry sense of humor that pervades the series, and you have a good idea of the many charms of Madame Fate.
MCF set the standard for just plain kooky fun with this game . There are so many levels of challenge - morphing objects to watch for, games within games, challenging searches, searches within searches, and the most bizarre assortment of interim puzzles - some of which are unfathomable, really - ever seen. Behind it all is Madame Fate, pestering you until you have to turn her off, which takes longer than you think because she also makes you laugh. I have owned this game for years and I still play it regularly because it still amuses me and challenges me as much as I want it to. I can't really say that about very many games.
'Mystery Case Files: Madame Fate' was my first introduction to the Hidden Object genre... and my, what a great impression it made! Quirky and full of humour, four years later it is still one of my favourite games and by far the most re-playable. I have played it to completion at LEAST twelve times since its purchase, and that is not an exaggeration. While it is full of wonderfully designed and well hidden objects, it also has a lot of creative and fun puzzles embedded within the game as well as unlockable levels and morphing objects. The only reason I have marked down the 'visual/sound quality' is because this game is a few years old now and the graphics may be considered slightly 'grainy' in comparison to newer games. An excellent game!
Hello you! Well my review for this game will be very good. It is the first Hidden Object game that really gets to you. The things are not easy to find. You need a good eye and it sure takes time to find them. If you don't buy the game you will never get through it. The story is somewhat fun also. But my focus was on the hidden objects. My, what a puzzle. There are really hard to find. If all my 358 games would be like that, I would be in paradise. There are a few things you don't really care to do in it but overall its amazing. Thank you for your time
I thought this would be a mystery game where you just follow the clues and solve the case real quickly. Oh my gosh! It was like a never-ending game filled with all kinds of challenges. Each level has sub-levels that were so hard it took me and a friend to solve at the same time. We'd both be on the lookout for hidden objects. You're being timed when you search for hidden things, so it's a bit of a challenge. Overall, great game. Well worth the money. It may take you a while to complete but who cares! It's a lot of fun.
Huge praise for Madame Fate from a diehard TM fan.A truly entertaining HOG and probably one of the best value games I've purchased on BF. The game length was a pleasant surprise but I was already sold with the perfectly balanced dark and zany storyline. It reminded me of the boardgame Clue... with a dash of twisted humor. The HOG scenes were challenging without being ambiguous and the puzzles were fun and original. Definitely my favorite MCF, have replayed it twice and I'm sure to visit it again.
I only discovered BFG games a couple of years ago and Madame Fate was my introduction to HOG's and I was hooked! Graphics, game play - all aspects of this game are great!
This game has great puzzles, interesting and different. Loads of fun. You never know what to expect and it is immensely replayable. Just plain fun.
As usual MCF does not disappoint. This is definitely one of my top three favorite games BF has to offer. Great graphics and challenging games, A must for die hard puzzle solvers!
I have played this game many times over since it was released in 2007 because I never get tired of it. The challenging and oh so funny puzzles keeps my mind agile and I love the Hidden Object Scenes; the background sounds, the music and the lovely graphics.
