There is a new game out now from a developer I do not know. The graphics are clear, crisp, and stunning. They did a great job of this game. Has voice over and the music is nice to listen to. Has a good story line. The voice over at the beginning give you the story line for the game. I will have to say that the game play is pretty easy for me. You have 3 modes of play so you pick you difficulty. The HOS are standard and not hard. The puzzles are good. Not too difficult. Have seen some of them before is different formats but still fun to play. You have achievements to earn and you have to find items, guess you can call them morphine's, that make the game more fun. The flow of the game is good. There is some reading during the game. It is a refreshing game to play and different in the games out there like ERS and elephant right now. You will enjoy playing this one.
The developner of this game is one of my favourites, so I've been waiting for their fourth game. And it's the best game I've played this year. The graphics are great. Very detailed, sometimes dark, sometimes beautiful. The chinese atmosphere is great done and the drawn characters look like chinese people. Very great done! The Soundtrack is great too. It has a bit of chinese music and a bit of adventure music. A great mix for this game. The gameplay is great. Sometimes you get special items for a healer kit. Then you must make a potion. The HOs are a bit easy, but there are two types of HO's in the game. So I like them too. The puzzles are great. Some are easy, but not too easy and some puzzles are tricky and difficould. Every puzzle is great done and I love them, because often they look beautiful too. There are many achievements to earn. It's not easy to gather them all, nearly impossible. The story is something you don't see often in a game, with a trick for the player after he/she finished the demo version of the game. So Overall this game is one of the best, if not the best game that I've played in this year and I can't wait until the next game from the developner. They are doing a great job!!!
Its not often we come across a game that offers a great story, high visual and sound quality, a fair amount of challenging gameplay and not to mention a fun factor that makes you want to re-play a game. Myths of the World: Chinese Healer certainly offers all of the above and much more and I am sure that it will make the list for top games of 2013. Our story takes place in China and playing the role of Daiyu, (Wait for it.....) legendary Healer, we must save the Emperor's son, Jinhai from a mysterious illness. Obviously someone is after the thrown and with the help of Bo, Friend to the ailing Prince, we must save the prince and stop a sinister plan from taking place. Grphics and art-work are excellent along with voice-overs, ambient sound and musical track, all enhancing the gameplay experience. You have three play modes to choose from, one depicted as Insane and it will definitely appease the appetites of hard-core players who enjoy a challenging game. A Hidden Object Puzzle Adventure game that offers extras like achievements and collectables. A journal with a list of objectives and a map that will also allow you to travel and indicate progress. HO scenes are interactive and there is also the choice to switch over to Mahjong which I am sure fans will love. Puzzles are intricate and somewhat challenging and there is also the Healer's Kit that you will need to use from time to time. The Bonus section offers extra HO games and Bonus Games to play. As I understand, the Bonus chapter also offers an ending to our story. SOme may find this unfair however, in this case, Myths of the World is definitely worth CE cost. Besides, today BFG offers a sale so I doubt that this will be an issue for many. I could go on writing to you about this game but I am anxious to spend this rainy Saturday afternoon playing it. I am sure that once gamers go through the demo, they will agree that this game offers what is rarely seen in games: the WOW factor. Kudos to the Developers who brought us Amaranthine: Th
You are known around the globe for your healing powers and you have been summoned by the Emperor's brother to heal the Emperor's son before he returns. You will need to travel to the palace and examine evidence with your kit as well as activating your healing powers through rituals. The story is intriguing and the graphics can be set in HD. There are over 40 hidden cranes to find and some are very well hidden. The HOS are fairly easy and they are interactive. The mini games are pretty simple as well such as arranging numbered weights to add up to the bottom number of that column. This is a different vibe and you will enjoy this game.
This is the first game from this developer that I have really enjoyed and felt deserved a CE label. You play the healer, Daiyu, who has been summoned to heal the emperor's son Jinhai, who is under the care of his uncle. You are a healer who also uses magic, once you find all the ingredients. Also, your healing kit enables you to diagnose the fact that Jinhai has been poisoned. You are assisted by Jinhai's best friend, Bo. The HOS are either lists or silhouettes, and you can switch to mahjong mode if you get tired of searching. The hint button refills quickly, and points directly to where you need to go for your next step. The interactive map also shows areas you can jump to. There are three modes of play -- Casual, Challenging, and Insane, which should please the experts and the beginners. There are also 41 cranes to find, which are well-hidden -- I only found three during the one hour demo! This is a unique, interesting game that I plan to buy.
What can I say! This is a great game and worth the CE five stars. Great storyline and graphics. Lots to do -- hidden objects, mini-games with interaction, interactive map and the hints can be used to guide you to the next thing to do. There are 41 objects to collect as you work your way through the game. Bonus -- achievements, bonus game play and you can replay hidden object scenes and the mini-games. The game is not difficult but a great joy to play. I'm off to finish the game. I can't wait to see how "we" rescue the prince!!
A hidden object with a fast atmosphere. Intriguing story line full of mysteries. Excellent graphic. Sound effects and music not annoying, just the right level to not distract from the game. A definite buy for me.
I bought the game based on the reviews because I was going on vacation to a place with no WiFi, and wanted games to play. At first I thought "oh boy, should have trialed it", but I actually really started getting into the game! Took a while, but after the first chapter I was hooked. It's different, true, but in a good way. The graphics are great, the puzzles are fun, and the story line is fascinating. What was the holdup at the beginning? Very hard to put my finger on that. It just played differently than I was used to, I guess. Do the trial and see what you think. But if I had done just the trial, I might not have purchased! PS The are achievements, and cranes to find. WARNING Make sure to see if you have found all the cranes in one world before going through a portal to a new world. You can't go back, and I missed one crane! I hate to miss collectibles.
Others may find some fault with this game. They may not like making the potions. They may not like that it "fades to black" a few times. They may think it is too linear, or that the HOS are too easy. Well, I LOVED IT! This is a perfect game for older players. The chapters are made so one can at LAST usually remember where that darn place to put the inventory item is. If not, the hint button shows you a picture and you can jump into the pic and you are THERE! It is wonderful. The HO's are good size. The cranes are fun to find, but I forgot towards the end. The end is slow and satisfying. The bonus chapter is super because the villian comes back to get revenge on the healer. This game is long and interesting. I could even actually do some of the puzzles! Many could find this game too easy. It is pretty easy and that is one reason I liked it. Everything flows so well in this game. Even the darned credits are worth reading--and they make a pause button so you CAN. This is one of my favorite games right now. I think I had to look one time at the strategy guide. The rest of the time I could just play and progress with no frustration. LOVED it!
Great Graphics, Sound, Voice & Video Bits, Effects And Story ... This Game Is A Real Winner, As Seems To Be The Case For Most If Not All Games From This Developer ... It's Games Like This That You Want To Play For Days If It Were Possible ... I Got Mine For Little More Than The SE Price, And Well Worth It To Get A Good Conclusion To The Already Well Delivered Story ... More Please ...
