This was my very first HO+ game. I loved it then, and I love it now. After all the other games, it still is great fun. The graphics are amazing, as stated by others, going from dark and forbidding evil to bright, cheerful, gorgeous splendor. The HOs are good fun with some odd items to find. The puzzles for the most part range from easy to average, but there are a few that offer a bit of a challenge. The game just makes you feel good. Brings back the childhood memories of wonderment and "Tinkerbelle". As stated this is a great game for kids. As an adult it is great to know that kid still lives in me. This is one of those games you start and just don't want to stop, because it is so beautiful. You want to clear the curse in the next room just to see the transformation. Everyone should own at least one feel-good game, and this is it. Definitely worth the price. I highly recommend this game to everyone.
I really enjoyed this game not only for the play but it is pretty! So many games are dark and usually torn up if you know what I mean. This game has fun mini games and I really enjoyed the sparkle and color of it! I wish BF would make more pretty games...
I purchased this game two years ago now, and played it then with tremendous pleasure. I replayed it last night with the same delight. A refreshing change from morbid locations, ghosts, demons, werewolves and other lovely creatures of like nature. I don't mind a few skeletons now and then, but the child still in me enjoys the company of little fairies. And the one we have in this game is rather cute. Nevertheless, as another reviewer rightly pointed out, Isabella is not solely meant for kids but for grown-ups as well. I love the story, the gorgeous settings so well crafted and painted with such talent, the numerous splendid locations you have to explore, the tasks, and the puzzles/minigames which are not all easy. I find it amazing how the artists managed to give such a contrast to one same scene, between its state while under the influence of evil [dark, grey, uninviting] and its renovation after the curse has been removed [bright, neat, luxurious]. Everything is good fun with Isabella; from clearing up a painting of its evil to restoring mirrors, via an impressive number of good puzzles and minigames or using special abilities. Isabella keeps you busy in a very clever way, for there is plenty to do and each task is highly enjoyable, even the HO Scenes. Classicism alternates with new ideas, "seriousness" with touches of humor [the males servant's face is just too much !], simplicity with challenge. "A Witch's Curse" is one of the best games I have come across and it certainly would have deserved to be released as a CE. It's a must-have which I highly recommend.
Excellent graphics, no scary demons, good music and nice storyline.
an awsome game!! a family member showed it to me, first time i played l loved it!!! although i cant play for very long... whats up with that 60 MINS!!!! anyways its arealy cool game, if i could rate it 1-10 it would be 10!!!! but the 60 min thing thats 0. please let me just keep it for free!!!
Great, but gameplay was just too ridiculously easy; if only it could've been like its direct sequel and Echoes Of The Past Castle In Stone, which makes it naturally pale in comparison in more ways than one. Still worth playing to find out why...
This game is just the greatest! I find it not too hard and not too easy, just the right level of challenge! The story is fun and the art is great! And what is better than to save a magical castle from an evil curse? You can see how each room changes from dark to magnificent when you solve a puzzle or remove all evil objects. Just right amount of puzzles and hidden object scenes. I absolutely loved it!
This is a very challenging game but it does have a wonderful help system with the upper left hand question response and the clues in the journal. It provides a good map for traveling around the game. The little fairy has the cutest voice and actually made me feel good when I broke the spell in the various rooms. I did have to skip a few games but was able to complete most of them. The end is a real thriller because of the scene activity. Try it---I hope you love it as much as I did.
This is the 27 time I have played it. I also played the second game to and that game is 5 stars to. I hope everyone will play it to someday. Sincerly Byron.
A game with a good Storyline. A good challenge.
