If you like solitaire games, check this one out. No bells and whistles, just a charming game, with lovely, relaxing graphics, sound effects, and music--all beautifully designed to take you back to a simpler time. An original theme, and very well done. Kudos to the devs.
You know, the more I played the game, the more I liked it. The solitaire game is the tri-peaks version (one of my favorites) - the cards are spread into different layouts and you have to build cards sequentially either up or down on the up-turned deck card. You can play a Challenge or Random mode. I liked the color tones of the backgrounds. I liked the ambient sounds of the water, clock, etc. I liked the sounds of the cards flipping. I use a small external stereo speaker plugged into my laptop, because the laptop sound itself is of poor quality, so I was really able to enjoy the sounds. The game has been updated since I bought it to include a music soundtrack that can be turned on or off, and an Undo button has been added, making the game even better. Because I bought the game from BF, I am able to update to the revised game free-of-charge, which is an added plus to buying games here. I liked the fact that the cards looked worn and that they didn't have the standard U.S. Playing Card Co. faces. This isn't one of those flashy games, with a lot of things happening that constantly catch your eye. The graphics and sounds allow you to concentrate on the gameplay and add to ambiance of playing peacefully alone in a quiet room, rather than distract from it.
It is a normal solitaire game with no story what so ever. It's rather boring to start with, and does nothing to draw your interest.
