I just finished this game and really loved it. I've played all the Westward games and this is one of my favorites. It's the 2nd game in the series and one of the most challenging IMHO. It took me about a week of playing off and on to finish which is typical for this series. There were several times that I failed a quest and had to restart which is part of the terrific challenge. While I had to try and locate a walk-through for a few of the quests, I was able to figure out what was expected most of the time. The available walk-throughs for this game are not as helpful as for games later in the series. If you love RPG and challenge, give this one a try. Good luck and happy gaming.
These are the best games. I love the theme and the game play with lots of mini quests. You can even down load free game levels that were released after the games. They have alot of funny sayings that will crack you up and will keep you coming back for more.
I have played Westward and liked it very much. Story, graphs, music and gameplay is very good for an old game like this. And on top of that, many hours of gaming. This one has the same concept so it's a good game...except for one thing ! They have changed the graphics on the map and the characters (not the GUI). We pass of drawing to 3D. It gives the impression that everything "float" under the ground. The angles are so rough, it kept me away from the game. I tried several times but I was not able to pass by :o( Wesward II-III-IV have the same 3D graphics so try the demo because some players don't seem to have a problem with it and beyond that, it's a good series ;o)
I loved the first game and played it many times over. I do not like the 2nd game because of the 3D graphics. I don't like the looks of the graphics and find it hard to play. It shows up well on my computer, I simply don't like 3D effects. It's a shame as I know if not for that I would purchase the game.
I wish they would tell right in the description of the game that this is one of those where you have to drag the people all around. Hate those.
