Good morning everyone Well slap me down and call me Happy, Happy, Happy ! Finally a decent game it's about time ! This week we are helping the Romans again if it's not the Vikings it's the Roman's and I have no problem with either one because these games are my all time favorite and I will buy and play each and every one of them as long as they keep them coming and I've been too long now without a decent game to play so this was an instant buy for me. As with all builders you are gathering resources, building different buildings, clearing debris and making deals at the market. This one has three modes of play normal, relaxed, and hard and even if you play on normal you can continue your day after the time runs out but the timer is quick on this one or at least it seemed that way to me. There are little pieces of amber gems to collect on each level just look for sparkling areas and that's where you'll find the piece of amber. You get the usual bonuses speed, extra worker, and extra time and you are able to get additional workers as well. This one is a little bit of thinker so you may want to take a good look at the playing field before you start your day and the timer doesn't start until you click and make the first move so take some time and get yourself a strategy before you let the timer start and even if you don't make the gold you can go back and replay the day until your happy. The graphics are really nice and colorful things are easy to see and the overall look of the game is very pretty. The only thing I have a problem with is you can't click ahead on any of your task unless you have an extra worker so that does slow things down a little but once you get the worker you are able to click so be sure to grab that extra worker. This is a great and solid builder as always this developer knows what they are doing when it comes to these games and thank god for this developer or we would probably not see too many of these games this is the only dev. that does just the builder games other dev's d
This is a builder / strategy game that caters to everyone's wants / abilities from hardcore to newbie players. There are 3 "modes" of play untimed, normal and hard. Graphics are very nice, music is a bit meh but not too annoying (I turned it down low) and a bell sound is produced when good are ready. I'm playing the timed mode and have had to do some lvls over a couple of times before I got gold - you can keep playing when the gold timer runs out though the area starts getting darker and the guys seem to run slower so it does not stop you from progressing. All in all having a great time playing this game and highly recommend it to all.
This game is a copy of "Pioneer Lands" (set in the wild west ) and I was so glad that they brought another similar game but I wish they kept same rules as in the other game. I loved the game and I bought it. However it is a very difficult game in a normal mode, I got 3 amber stones up to 30th level, although you do need to plan and play perfectly, no making mistakes at all to get 3 ambers on many levels. This would be great if it was a hard level, but not on normal level. Also you need to find one amber( it's hidden but if you look before you start the level you will see sparkle), which again was not fun looking for it, plus some levels are too hard that I didn't have time to look for that amber. Another annoying thing was having only maximum of 2 workers and buildings were set on certain level, you could built building level 3 but you didn't have a choice to upgrade them to that level or to chose which level you prefer, and you couldn't chose how many workers you can buy, and 2 workers max it's not enough, at least not in the higher levels, that's probably is why the game is a bit too diffucult But in overall I love the game, still playing trying to get 3 amber on all levels. I hope they make more like this but not with Roman or Viking or gnome topic. I'm giving 5 stars because I love it and I'm having a fun playing it, but I should give it 4 stars because of the difficulty
This goal oriented game with quests involving building or growing something has a nice untimed mode that allows one to relax and enjoy the game. I had fun watching my workers run around doing tasks. One can play it timed or not. I always choose untimed to unwind from work. The game is just silly and funny and the result, for me, was fun. I hated to see it end.
This game is a lot of fun. The instructions are easy, the graphics very good, the music is not annoying. It's easy to play and much like all the other TM games which I really enjoy. The fact that there is a an untimed mode makes it more appealing as I don't like to be under a timer to accomplish tasks. I just like to play a relaxing game and this is one. I'm definitely buying this one.
This has been a great month for games on BFG. Although this isn't a new release it's still great. Along with Building The Great Wall of China and Legends of Atlantis Exodus, this is one of the single best time management/builder/strategy games you can get. The visuals and sounds are top notch and the music is pretty great too, although with most games, I usually end up turning it off and listening to my own music instead. Overall, it's a very slickly produced game and it's clearly made FOR the people who love this genre. The only flaw I can think of is the spelling and grammatical errors in the story segments. I would definitely recommend this to anyone, especially those who enjoy builder games. The best trait a game can have is style, something that it has all to its own, and this game has it in spades. Highly recommended.
Another great Time Management game to keep you entertained for hours! The graphics keep getting better on these games but for once could we have the workers say more than I'm on it? Perhaps a disgruntled worker who complains would be a nice change of pace. This game will require the usual work such as clearing paths and collecting resources. As you gather resources you will repair bridges and windmills, you will reap wheat crops and take the wheat to windmills for flour or sell at the market for gold along with lumber and other goods. Each scene has at least one hidden object (amber) to collect that will sparkle so keep a look out for this for extra points. You will have a speed up button to put workers in a temporary warp speed mode or time freezes etc. that will help you to complete your task in the allotted time but they have to recharge before using them again. Three levels of difficulty to please the hardcore gamers or a normal mode and it even gives you the option of playing without the stress of a timer. This is an enjoyable game with a good tutorial and clear task goals so fellow TM fans, enjoy!
Fun opportunity to play without time restraints!
At first, I didn't think I would like this game, but the more I play it, the more I like it. It is very challenging! I will attempt each level several times trying to determine which 'bonus' to use and which way to go. After about the 6th time, I go to y o u tube and watch the right way to go. Even after watching a number of times, it takes me another 3 or 4 times before I can beat the level #I like the timed option#. That is not to say that I couldn't beat any of the levels without a little help, but each level does take thought and patience. I like TM games that make it a bit more difficult. After all, what fun would it be if I could beat every level within the time limit without a challenge. I am definitely getting my money's worth ;)
Made in the same style as Pioneer Lands, this game is challenging and fun. I bought it after 30 minutes of play. Each level requires careful timing and strategy to beat with a perfect score. ( I played on the hard level). It often took several tries for me to figure out the best way to get everything done in the time limit. Only a couple of downers: the music is nice, but overwhelming. It went off after 5 minutes. That just leaves the annoying little "I'm doing it!" and similar comments that the characters make when you click on them. I hate to play a game in complete silence, but the voices get annoying.
