I got tired of Mahjong games because they always seemed to be the same. However, this game is very different. Not the usual matches that need to be done in the old style. This game offers many styles to this game. Especially the logic game. Not as easy as it seems. I have enjoyed the demo and I have purchased this game for ongoing entertainment and fun! The only thing I would change is I like having the opportunity to select a tile set. This game does not offer choices.
This particular game has quite a variety of play themes to it: 1-Logical Pair = bow&arrow, stamp&envelope, axe&chopped wood, etc. 2-Mahjongg = just straight pairing of matching tiles that are cleared from other tiles 3-Non Pairs = search each tier for 2 tiles that don't match other tiles and clear the tier until all tiers are completely gone 4-Pairs = the exact opposite of above; match 2 tiles that'll clear the tier until all tiers are completely gone 5-4 Rivers = don't know how to explain the moves of this play as I could never get the hang of it and used the hint button quite a bit 6-Swap = look for a tile that'll match another and swap it for a tile that sits next to it to clear out the match The only warning that I would provide is to be careful about making so many matches (towards the end of the level) that when you need to reshuffle, it'll reshuffle the tiles the SAME WAY that it's layered. For example, if you've got 4 tiles left and they're sitting atop each other, when said tiles are shuffled, they'll STILL BE sitting atop each other and may not become conducive to any matches. I had 1 such level that no matter how many times I clicked the "shuffle" button, it never provided me with a match. I had to click the menu button and replay the level. This is a long game and I also liked the music to this game; at times, it was catchy and bouncy.
Don't really love Mahjong games but tried this one since it was on sale. Loved Loved Loved. Very different and fun from normal Mahjong games.
I enjoy all mahjong games as they are favorite of all the games i have ever played.
Lots of fun to play, very different game of mahjong. Everyone that likes mahjong should try this one.
I really enjoy playing Mahjong and this particular one has lots of variations and side games which very much enhances the game-play nterest. NOT just a game of mahjong. Strongly recommend.
I dunno.... bought this based on the glowing reviews but was disappointed. Although there are different ways to play other than straight mahjong, it was still repetitive after a while... and very, very easy. It is a relaxing time passer but, for my money, Venice Mystery is far superior to this for variety, fun, bonuses, etc., etc. I'm usually easily pleased and I fully expected this game to be really great - especially after reading all the reviews.... However, I've played through the Great Wall of China, and am a bit bored.... I still recommend this for those who love MahJong and need a de-stressing time-passing mind-numbing game now and then.... But if you love this game, then please try Venice Mysteries -- because it is by far the best MahJong type game I've ever played....
Was I playing a different game than everyone else? Because I am a seasoned Mahjong player, own several versions of the game I purchased from BF, and this has got to be the worst version I have ever played. Storyline: None Graphics: Ok. Background never changed. Tiles never changed. Sound: I turned it off. Gameplay: Usual Mahjong game with no bells or whistles or anything even remotely entertaining. And you had to be careful of the layouts or you would replay the same one over and over again. YOU have to choose the next layout and when you're done with the 6 on page 1 - YOU have to make sure you go to page 2. And, get this, you play layout 1 on page 2, game ends. It goes back to page 1 so you have to choose page 2 again and make sure you choose the next layout. NOTHING is automatic. Never seen anything like this before. That pretty much says it all. This Glam-ma says go on and try it if you must but there are w-a-a-y better Mahjong games that BF has to offer. The review of this game is this Glam-ma's unbiased opinion - and only mine. Therefore, if you found this review to be helpful, please click on the "yes" button below. There is also a "no" button. Seriously? You'd give your Glam-ma a "no"? Kidding. Happy Gaming!
